This mount is laser cut out of 3/16” aluminum and tig welded. Most of our mounts are designed to utilize a part on your boat so that you don’t have to drill holes into your hull, unfortunately their are some case you will have to drill holes. Boats equipped with a built in swim step, large swim platform, or u-bolts really low/tucked under the hull would have to use these mounts, these mounts are installed above your transom next to your ski tow hook. This does require drilling four holes into the hull of your boat to through bolt the mount, they are normally mounted next to your ski tow hook or on the inside of your back grab rail. This mount has a 10 degree back angle to adjust for the forward angle of your boat’s hull. We offer this mount in 10, 20, and 30 degree back angles, and a straight mount spaced 1 1/2” off of the hull, check or site for the other angles offered. This kit comes with a 60” flagpole that is 1/8” thick aluminum, both the flagpole and mount are powder coated. All stainless steel hardware is included with the kit, our 360 swivels are upgraded to handle high speeds and can be adjusted to any size flag you fly. Flags are not included, they are sold separately because most people already have a flag. Flagpole is easily removed/installed is 5 seconds, and these kits are designed for high speed so you can leave the pole up while driving your boat.
If you are unsure what back angle you need, you can get an angle finder or we can mail you a flyer with the angles on them. The next time you are on the water you can hold the flyer or angle finder onto your boat and see which mount will fly your flagpole at the best angle, this should NOT be done on your trailer due to most boats sitting lower in the back when floating and that will change your flagpole angle. The more staraight up and down the flagpole is while on the water will help the flag fly straight while driving. All of our Above Transom Mounts use the same base, base is 3 1/2” tall x 3” wide and hole layout is the same.
